Poorly made boots

Casual use St. Catharines, Ontario February 12, 2018
A North Face product would be expected to handle rough terrain and heavy use....after mild use within a week of casual wear the top hooks came off the top of the lace up part of the boots. Very unhappy with the product and the limited warranty due to being slightly worn outdoors. I would not recommend these boots.

Ideal for light winter conditions

Adventure Dino Ottawa January 18, 2018
I bought these shoes because I wanted some light weight casual shoes for around town and commuting to work. They work reasonably well for this purpose. They are warm down to about -20 with proper socks, and fit the casual bill perfectly. However the soles do nothing for traction. There is zero traction on ice (wet or dry) and minimal grip while walking through snow. Best used in town where sidewalks are salted and ploughed, but will work after some snowfall in a pinch.

none
Cons:
none

Took it out for the first snowfall in Toronto. These boots feel amazingly light, water tight and warm with thin layer of socks (-10 out).
