[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered this at a half size down from my Samba's US10 (which runs a bit long). At US9.5 while it's the right length for my foot (US 9.5 in sneakers, US 10 for running shoes), it's shockingly narrow out of the box (I have slightly wide feet), narrower than my Samba and my US9.5 Gazelle (which fit me comfortably). With lacing techniques and some break in however, it managed to widen a bit though not as wide as my other sneakers so beware for truly wide footed individuals, check your size first at a store. It's comfortable, a bit more than my Sambas save for the Spezial's narrow fit but I still prefer my Gazelle. One thing to note is since I'm also flat footed, the Spezials have a prominent arch support, which feels like there's a lump at the inside of your midfoot, so your mileage may vary if you will find this intrusive/uncomfortable if you're also flat footed. Again try one at a store near you. Otherwise it's a still a stylish yet cheaper, but still somewhat comfortable alternative to the Sambas and the more expensive Gazelle.
