Perfect for wildlife photography and travel!

I bought 3 pairs of these pants for a wildlife photography trip to Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. They were perfect. Light weight, breathable, dried fast, easy to pack. They came in sizes with “Long” inseams which I definitely need and is not easy to find. These pants performed so well that I purchased an additional 3 pairs for a wildlife photography trip to Brazil’s Pantanal. Again, these pants did not disappoint. I wish they came in more colors although British Tan/khaki worked for my purposes.

DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY THESE PANTS!!! The description for these pants said their use is for hiking. The first time I wore them hiking I came home with many snags on the pant legs, especially near the bottom. They are NOT suitable for hiking in natural areas. Only paved surfaces. This fabric sticks on everything when you are hiking.

Best Hiking Pants!

These are the BEST hiking pants! The reason why is 1: they are convertible and 2: they cinch at the bottom which makes it possible to since over your hiking boots to avoid getting ticks and your ankles brushing on poison ivy, which is so important! Plus, they are the only columbia pant that comes in inseam "Short" which is great for petites. My only issue is that the women's & men's color options are not the same, colors my husband needs women's have and colors like the men's blue, women's doesn't have which I need. This pant is much better than the Silver Ridge and wish this pant came in the colors the Silver Ridge has. I hope this isn't getting discounted since I need to rebuy after having these for over a decade.

Poor Fabric

I was gifted these pants at Christmas 2021. At first I loved them. The fit was perfect for me and I love the flexibility of the zip off legs for multi-day trips. However, after only two summers of use the fabric in the butt has worn thin and there are small holes and tears forming. I won't get a third summer out of them.

Too tight around the zipper

It is a beautiful pants, perfect size for my waist and hip however around the zipper is too tight, I cant wear it, so sad. If you have thick thighs this is not for you, unless you buy a bigger size.

To tight at Zipper

I bought these in April, tried them on and were great so didn’t think anything of it until I actually wore them and tried sitting in these pants! Zipper is so tight around legs that it feels like a tourniquet! Unfortunately too late to return them! I would not recommend these pants
