Open Box Space Mate Folding Stepper

Stamina® SpaceMate® Folding Stepper First off this was an Open Box. It needed a little TLC, it was missing a screw, I had a replacement. The pin that is holding it in place until you fold up is sticky and a little out of alignment. I don’t fold it up so not an issue. This Stepper is heavy duty and gives this Buffed 63 yr. old a Magnificent workout. A great, compact cardio machine

The covers for the handles were incredibly difficult to get on, but otherwise the assembly of the unit was easy. It's also very easy to use; just start stepping! It's nice that the monitoring unit tracks steps, calories, time, and steps/min, and that the machine is simple to adjust difficulty. I find that it takes about 10-15 minutes to "warm up" the machine (starting on the easiest setting, because that's more than hard enough at the start) and then it gets way easier to step so I turn up the resistance for the rest of my workout. It's definitely working to get my heart pumping and the sweat dripping, without causing too much stress on my joints.

I purchased this stepper in April 2013. Use it for 1 out of 4 workouts every week (stairmaster, ashtanga yoga, barbells/kettlebells/weights, spinning). It is now 2021 and I still use the same stepper for 45-50 minutes every week - without fail - almost 8 years later. It’s not fancy. In fact, it’s kinda ugly. But it sure is the Old Faithful of home workout machines and it will probably live in my home gym long after my Peloton and Olympic bench becomes a hand-me-down to my kids.
