Absolutely do now buy this product

If I could give a zero, I would. I bought this device for my wife 3 ½ years ago. We didn't use it last year and it stayed in her backpack. We went to charge it this year and it wouldn't charge. I googled the issue and apparently its a known issue and Zoleo will only do anything about it if its within its 2 year warranty. I thought to myself that this can’t be true, surely a company that’s in the outdoor adventure space doesn’t just want me to throw this away and buy another one. It’s a dead battery. Sure enough I called the CS and they asked my IMEI # and proceeded to tell me that it was out of warranty and my options are a refurbished unit at a slightly reduced price or a new one from Amazon. The CS person tole me they only get one or two complaints about this each week so its not worth them fixing them or replacing a battery. I asked the CS person why if they know its an issue and its such a small number of cases wouldn’t they honor their product and replace it take the unit back and refurbish it. I think 3 ½ years really isn’t that long for a battery to die completely. He told me he understood but stayed fast that I was to just throw this one away and buy another. I will never buy another Zoleo and I will tell everyone I know this story and how disappointed I am in Zoleo’s service from a customer service perspective and an environmental one.
