Best roller!

Christina M Toronto, ON February 28, 2017
Sport Chek provided me with one of these Triggerpoint Grid Foam Rollers to review. As a marathon runner, it's really important that I stay on top of my stretching and rolling to minimize the chance of injury. I have been using this roller over the last few weeks (mostly on my legs and back) and it has been a game-changer, especially after those weekend long runs! I'll be honest, it does cause some pain initially but after a good rolling session, my legs feel fresh and ready for my next run. I've used several different rollers in the past but appreciate the grid design on this one as it really helps to get the kinks out.
Pros:
Versatile, Easy To Use, Durable
Cons:
none

Love This Thing!

Darrel Saskatchewan March 09, 2015
As a 36 year old, 200 lb goalie, I love this thing! I use it on my hips, glutes and back about two hours before game time, and it REALLY helps to open up my butterfly! It has also become part of my off-day routines, helping to keep things loose. At first, it was very uncomfortable to roll on, and it kind of hurt, but the more I use it, the more enjoyable it becomes. I would recommend this to anyone who has chronic tightness in any muscles, not just athletes.
Pros:
Versatile, Easy To Use, Durable
Cons:
Pricey / Poor Value

Perfect size

Brad K Edmonton, AB March 13, 2014
This is my first foam roller. I've had a lot of knee pain from cycling due to tight leg muscles. My chiropractor wanted me to do more stretching but this often increased my pain. The roller effectively stretches the muscle without pulling them to do so and things have loosened up so much. Stretching can now be done during the day to keep things from tightening up and the the foam roller morning and night to really soften things up. At first I found it super firm and very painful but using it twice daily for three weeks I now look forward to it. I found rolling slowly and taking your time over the sore/tight spots along with an active release made the most progress. I feel like the square grid area works better than the larger/longer flat areas but sometimes the alternating pattern provides better pressure and then some relief. Size is perfect to use on your back and even both legs at the same time; if you keep things straight a wider one is not necessary. Seems durable and I expect it to last a long time, thinking of getting another one for at work to use after my morning bike commute.
Pros:
Versatile, Easy To Use, Durable
Cons:
none

Great

WG Toronto January 14, 2014
I have a couple trouble spots on my back so I decided to pick one of these up and it works well for ironing them out. Work great on the legs too. I decided to get the travel sized roller for it's smaller size.
Pros:
Well Built / Quality, Lightweight
Cons:
none

Just what the doctor ordered

Sleddogsam Winnipeg, MB September 10, 2013
Great balanced size for travel. Maintains firmness over time. I wish SC carried the longer version for home use. Expensive but not wearing out like the cheaper foam versions. Hollow construction allows for items to be packed inside when travelling.
Pros:
Well Built / Quality, Durable
Cons:
Pricey / Poor Value

Not as good as the hype

Busy Bee kelowna, bc October 30, 2012
I found it too big and could not feel the bumps in the foam. I wanted something that got deeper into the muscles. Akward :-(
Pros:
Great Color
Cons:
Poor Ergonomics, Pricey / Poor Value, Too Soft
