Retail Store Returns
Holiday purchases made from Nov 10, 2025 may be exchanged or refunded until January 25, 2026. Due to our massive BOXING DAY event, we will not be accepting refunds or exchanges on Dec 26th. For locations closed Dec 26th (Atlantic Canada & Sault Ste. Marie, ON) refunds or exchanges will not be accepted on Dec 27th.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A RETURN OR EXCHANGE
- Original receipt (printed or e-mailed) or gift receipt
- Unused/unworn merchandise in original packaging with tags attached
- All paperwork, parts & accessories originally included
- Online orders - Photo ID matching the billing address (when returning in-store)
RETURN WITH A RECEIPT
An original receipt is required for returns or exchanges for in-store and online purchases. Return or exchange policy windows are from the date of your purchase and are as follows:
- Within 30 days: receive a refund to the original method of payment used for the purchase
- Between 31 to 60 days: receive a MERCHANDISE CREDIT card
- If the amount of the return is less than $5.00 and the return is being made in-store, cash will be refunded
- Over 60 days not eligible for a refund or exchange
SPORTCHEK.CA RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Purchases made from www.sportchek.ca will be accepted at SportChek retail stores and follow the same RETURN POLICY, minus shipping and handling fees.
To make a return or exchange of an online purchase at a SportChek retail store, you must provide Photo ID which matches the billing address on your order.
Purchases made with a digital wallet (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) will receive applicable refunds to the Debit or Credit Card attached to the Digital Wallet account used for the purchase.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RETURN OR EXCHANGE POLICY
The following items are considered FINAL SALE and are not eligible for a refund or exchange:
- Clearance (Price Point ending in $0.88)
- Electronics (including but not limited to drones, fitness trackers, heart monitors, GPS trackers, cameras, headphones, speakers) that have been opened after purchase cannot be returned or exchanged
- Women’s/Girl’s swimwear bottoms (two-piece bottoms OR one-piece swimsuits) must be unused/unworn and have hygiene strip still attached
- Underwear
- Climbing equipment
- Opened or unsealed snorkels
- Opened or unsealed mouth guards
- Nutritional and Food Products
- Tickets, passes and donations (including but not limited to ski lift passes and cards, jumpstart donations, other charitable donations)
RETURN WITH A GIFT RECEIPT
Returns using a gift receipt will be applied to a MERCHANDISE CREDIT card within 60 days. The gift receipt will help us determine the price your gift giver paid. A gift receipt is documentation of the purchase only and is not considered an original receipt. You will be required to provide your name, telephone number, and postal code for the transaction.
RETURN WITHOUT A RECEIPT
Store personnel can assist in retrieving your receipt for in-store or online purchases. If your receipt is retrieved, a refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY. In the event we are unable to retrieve your receipt we will be unable to process the return.
MULTIPLE ITEM DISCOUNT RETURNS & “FREE ITEM” WITH PURCHASE RETURNS
When a regular priced item purchased during a “Buy One, Get One” event is returned, the discount on the second item is forfeited. The second item may be repurchased at the current selling price or both items can be returned for a full refund. When items are purchased as part of a promotional offering, a free item can only be refunded with the return of all items. Individual items can be exchanged. A refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY.
WARRANTY RETURNS
Should your purchase develop a manufacturer's defect under regular use, you may be eligible for a refund or exchange. Please return to a retail store for assistance. If your product is eligible for a warranty claim, a refund may be processed if it falls within the parameters of this RETURN POLICY. You will be required to provide your name, telephone number, and postal code for the transaction.
GIFT CARDS
Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash. Sport Chek is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards.
