Order cancelled without notice

I placed an order online for a small maroon duffel bag as I couldn't find one in stores anywhere. It said it was in stock and available to ship to my home. Since I was already making an order and paying for shipping I decided to add a Yeti tumbler lid as well. It was supposed to arrive at my home within a few days. I was keeping up to date with the order tracking and it said both items had shipped. The day before it was supposed to arrive I had a strange charge on my credit card from sport check that was not in the amount of the full order so I checked the order tracking status which said half my order (duffel bag) was cancelled. I never received an email stating that my order was cancelled or why. I called Sport Chek customer service who advised me that they cancelled the duffel bag because it was no longer in stock. Instead of canceling the entire order or advising me via email of the item being out of stock they proceeded and charged me for the tumbler lid that I ordered which was $13.00 with $7.00 in shipping fees. However I would not have bought the tumbler lid online if I was not ordering the duffel bag because it's available in store without shipping fees... I did explain this to the customer service agent who was very understanding and refunded the shipping fees. All in all I am still disappointed that I was not able to receive the duffle bag that I ordered online which stated it was in stock upon my purchase.
