This is a purpose built shoe. It's strictly for weight lifting and ideal for movements where you need a lot of leg drive. The sole has nearly zero bounce so you're going to have all your leg power working for you. It's robustly built and should last a decade. I read reviews about a narrow toe box that wasn't the case for me. It was a near perfect for my size. I can't emphasize enough this is strictly a weight lifting shoe. Don't expect to do anything else in them. Think buying hockey skates to do anything but play hockey.

As a competitive rower, the power I can drive into the ground with these Adidas is unreal. I used to lift in Tyshawn II’s, and while they were flat, they just didn’t provide the stability I needed for heavy squats or to fully translate leg strength in training. Upgrading to these shoes changed everything. The base is rock-solid, giving me confidence to drive through every rep, and the stability allows me to channel more power effectively. I’ve recommended them to my crew teammates, even though I doubt many will spend the money, but for anyone serious about athletic performance, these are absolutely worth it.
