Feel like the rubber elements around toe boxes will come off soon but that won’t impact use at all. Very stable, good traction, comfortable shoes.
They look like they are Q bit small but fit true to size, even my wide feet.

Rock-solid stability for a 40-something lifting

If there is one universal truth about Adidas Dropsets, it’s that they run tight. I learned that the hard way with a pair of Adizero Dropset Pros in my usual size 9—turns out my feet don't appreciate being put in a hydraulic press.
For the Dropset 4, I finally listened to reason and went a half size up to a 9.5. Game changer.
I bought these strictly for weightlifting. Look, I’m 42 going on 43—I’m not out here breaking world powerlifting records or trying to look cool for the college kids at the gym. I’m just a guy trying to fight off Dad-bod gravity, build a decent figure, and handle some honest barbell work. My old Pros lacked the foundation for heavy lifts, but the Dropset 4 gives me a rock-solid, stable platform for squats and deadlifts while still having enough flex so I don't walk like a penguin between sets or during light warm-up runs.
Styling-wise, Adidas nailed the aesthetic here. It hits a clean, understated normcore vibe without tipping over into full "mow the lawn on a Sunday morning" dad-shoe territory.
If you’re taking your lifting seriously (or just trying to maintain structural integrity in your 40s), grab these. Just do your toes a favor and size up half a step.

Brilliant trainers for serious gym work. Excellent for squatting as the feet get a very stable platform and grip around the angle is excellent and very supportive. The shoe is lightweight which feels like poor quality initially but that is misleading. These are great. I would not recommend for running these are best suited to gym work. One minor niggle is that my foot slips forward a tiny fraction but I need to experiment with lacing configurations i think. Anyway these are so good I bought two!

Great lifting shoe if you get it on sale

I’ve really been enjoying strength training in this shoe doing exercises like squats, deadlifts and bench press. It does fit a bit snug around the mid-foot but not uncomfortably as the material has room to expand. The outsole is very flat and not cushioned so I definitely would not advise anyone to do any running at all with this shoe. Limit this one to just strength training and body building and it’ll do just fine.
