Altra Men's Experience Flow 2 Running Shoes

I’ve been an Altra fan for about 10 years and haven’t purchased another running shoe brand since I first tried them. Over that time, I’ve bought dozens of pairs of both road and trail shoes, and they’ve consistently been my go-to. Unfortunately, in recent years I’ve noticed a decline in quality. The upper fabric on my last two pairs began ripping after only moderate use—something I had never experienced with Altra before. After these issues, I was hesitant to buy another pair, but after a decade of loyalty, I decided to give them one more chance. I recently purchased the Men's Experience Flow 2, but it arrived with a manufacturing defect in the insole. As a result, I haven’t even been able to use them yet, so I can’t comment on their performance. I’ve submitted a warranty claim and am hopeful the issue will be resolved. That said, this feels like another sign that the consistency and quality that once defined the brand may be slipping. I’ve now had issues with three consecutive pairs after nearly 10 years without a single problem. At this point, it may be time to explore other options—I’ve heard Topo could be a solid alternative.

i was looking for a shoe for rucking and outdoor workouts. These have exceeded my expectations. I initially was going to use these for shorter ruck (4 - 8 miles). But have found them to be comfortable enough to wear for longer rucks (10 - 15 miles). I also use these for heavy carry workouts and short runs. They do it all. I'm going to order another pair just to have available when these are no longer sold.

Bought this shoe a few months back. Was my first Altra. Nice roomy toebox, great shoe. I ran in them all winter. Time for new shoes so I ordered the exact same size, model and color since i like them so much. The toebox is a full 7mm narrower. So i sent it back and ordered another one of the same. Still 7mm narrower. Fits just like hoka, nike and all the others. Im very disappointed. The wide toebox was my draw to Altra. But it seems the standards have changed. 7mm is a huge difference. Same shoe, same size, same color… whats up with that?? Where to go from here?? 😔

Started squeaking within a month or two with low usage. Embarrassing, so I no longer wear them and support gave me the run around and tried to blame it on an external source. Never had a shoe squek in my life. They don’t stand behind their products and difficult warranty process built to deter you from even trying. Won’t be buying anymore of their iterations.

Initially they were extremely comfortable, but the cushion did not last.

Even though your shipping instructions indicated that I would receive them on March 27, I still have not received them.
