They sent a store demo shoe

This was some store demo shoe sent instead of a new one, pretty dissatisfied as this was NOT a clearance sale. I called customer support all they suggested was return and reorder but they can’t guarantee a new out the box shoe

No, I do not recommend this product.

Best Lone Peaks Yet

I have four pairs of various versions of the Altra Lone Peak, and the Lone Peak 9+ GTK is by far my favorite. The combination of waterproofing, rugged construction, and Vibram soles makes this version especially capable. I bought them specifically for two weeks of Boy Scout camp in the Adirondacks, and they got a serious workout. It was a wet, muddy August with plenty of time on trails and around camp, and they did not disappoint. My feet stayed dry, the traction was excellent, and the shoes held up extremely well throughout the trip. If you already like the Lone Peak, the 9+ feels like the version built for when the weather and terrain decide not to cooperate.

Uncomfortable toe box, downgrade from the past.

The toe box is quite short causing the material near the end to rub the tops of my toes. Trying on in a store didn’t make it apparent but after wearing them a few times, it’s surprisingly uncomfortable. I wish I was able to return them. They are also overall very stiff compared to previous models. I would avoid these shoes.

Great trail runner

Like the mid level of cushioning with the 0 degree drop. Feels close enough to a barefoot trail runner but with a bit of cushion that helps on the rocks and sticks etc. on the trail. Been using these up in Colorado and around our place on the Olympic Peninsula and have experienced great performance.
