Awesome shoes

I was a die hard merrell shoe person, but over the last few years I feel their quality has gone down hill. After months of searching and trying on shoes I have altra a try. The wide fit in these is perfect for my feet! They fit great and are convertible right out of the box. A little bit more cushion would be nice but the support and stability is great. Might size down a half a size in the wide fit due to the large toe box

My Favorite Hiking Shoe

These are truly amazing hiking shoes. I love the zero drop. My foot has plenty of space with how big the forefoot is. The cushion of the shoe is excellent. I am still able to feel the ground without feeling every rock on the trail. My feet are very comfortable hiking 6-8 miles before they feel the trail.
I'm also used to wearing minimalist shoes so I was hesitant about the added cushion of the Lone Peak. However, after my first trail I was a huge fan! This is a great transition from a minimalist shoe to the trail.

I purchased these on a recommendation. These are my new favorite shoes. The drop is something that took a bit to adjust, however, I now think it’s better than anything I’ve worn in a long time. Went through a journey on good footwear for my job which requires a lot of standing and moving on a range. Plantar fasciitis was something I experience in my late 40 early 50 and went with Keen shoes, which I initially loved but something recently changed in that brand. The Lone Peak 9 + are a game changer. Large toe box, comfortable and easily worth the price.

My 7r old makes fun of me for wearing them, calling them scuba diver shoes or clown shoes. They are awkwardly wide at the front. My podiatrist suggested these. My feet hurt as much wearing these as much as any other shoe I have ever wore. I bought 2 pair at once thinking I would take advantage of the discount. Boy I got screwed. I hate these shoes and am embarassed at how terrible they actually look in person. Never ever again will I be dumb enough to buy any Altras.

Just got these yesterday. Wore them around the house and for some reason I didn’t want to take them off (almost slept in them). Was going to walk a mile or two this morning but did five and I flew with none of the usual pain in my feet. What else can you say?
