    Footbed separation

The Olympus 6 fit well and had all the makings of a good trail shoe. However, on the first hike, the footbed separated from the sole on the left side, creating an air pocket and an annoying "pop" with every step. Disappointing.

I wish that companies didn't inevitably lose quality with greater quantity, but Altra has definitely followed that trend. I ordered these in the same size as all the other Altras I've owned, and my toes went numb from the constriction, even though the laces were completely loose. I will never buy Altra again and now I have to find another company that makes a truly wide toebox and good traction.

I’ve run in the Olympus for 5 years. A cushioned workhorse. I had one model lose some of the Vibram sole, but this version seems solid.

Went a little bigger this time and also more cushion. Very comfortable. I haven't done a great deal of hiking in them but so far have performed great. Roomy toebox always a good thing. I went larger because of arthritis, but with internal heel feature I feel that bigger is better than too small. I feel that any level of activity would do well in this shoe, whether a seasoned trail runner or an around the block walker.

I started ultra training with (3) different brands, this shoe is too heavy. If your a distance runner with mild foot pain (plantar fascia) you will feel every bit of the pain. The shoe feels like it weighs 5 pounds, definitely not a running shoe.

The Olympus, and Altra in general, have been my go-to for a long time, possibly 30 pairs. The Olympus is a shoe I am very familiar with and enjoyed without issue up until this single addition of this stitched heel pad. It is a blister disaster! The stitching caused severe and debilitating backcountry blisters unlike any other model of the Olympus. This new addition to the Olympus is a disaster. One can only see this in the fact that it was immediately removed from the next model. Good work. But don't offload these to unsuspecting customers. They are garbage and you need to own the mistake, not pass it on.

Not sure why everyone complains about blisters but ive done close to 140 miles this year on them and not one blister for me. but for such low miles the shoe seems to be getting beat up pretty good. That might just becasue of the northeast trails. overall great shoe
