nice but. . .

way too tight across the top of my feet, I have 7 other pairs of ultra lone peak shoes and a few other versions ultra makes. these definitely have a squeeze across the balls of my feet. . although they are easy on and off like a slip on shoe. . feels refreshing to get them off after wearing them most of the day

entire upper is completely wrong

The entire upper is completely wrong.
The attachment point for the tongue is so tight across the foot it hurts. (I have a narrow foot and ordered my normal regular size 10 and this is still too tight). But I could not tell until I spent a day in them outside, which of course means I cannot return them.
The insole is hot, does not breathe. The upper is hot and does not breathe.
The laces pull tight at the bottom and loosen near the top, the way it is engineered it will always do this.

V for Versatility

This is my day shoe for most casual outings during the summer. Slips on/off easily but no heel slip when walking. Pairs great w shorts. Very comfortable and works well for city, trail, and just about any walking terrain you’ll encounter.

Flawed

The first pair I bought was missing the small securement tab that holds the shock-cord laces in place. Returned that pair and the replacement pair was just holding by a tenuous connection.
Good try Altra but, back to the drawing board.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Super comfortable, but they don't breath at all.

I purchased these for a 6-day trip to Chicago that averaged 10 miles per day of walking around the city. The speed lace system holds my heel in the heel cup surprisingly well and is very easy on/off. They are extremely comfortable walkabout shoes and the soles seem to be wearing well so far.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of breathability from the ripstop upper. During the trip, my feet were sweating so much there was a 1/4-1/2" strip of moisture on the ripstop material at the toe box. Due to this issue alone, I cannot give this shoe more than 3 stars.

The perfect every day shoe

I purchased the Voyager at a race expo back in April and I have worn them every single day for about 3 months. It takes just a few days to break them in, but once they're broken in, the midsole is heavenly to walk on. I wear them from quick errands to all-day urban adventures and it performs admirably. The stretchy lock-laces are incredible. I'm not a big fan of them for running shoes, but they are perfect for daily drivers like the Voyager. I'm so happy with this purchase and can't wait to buy a pair for my mom ☺️

Extremely comfortable on cobblestones

I have an odd callous problem near the ball of one foot so my podiatrist suggested I try Altra. My feet are relatively narrow. These fit well except for slight bunching up of the material at the ball of the foot. Nevertheless, these are extremely comfortable shoes. We just returned from two weeks of travel in northern European capital cities and these were great for day after day of five miles plus of walking - many of those miles on cobblestones. My feet felt great every day and my odd callous problem did not bother me at all. The soles and padding absorbed the pounding on cobblestones without flinching. I'm now considering a second pair of Altas. They are just amazingly comfortable.

Great for those short trips out of the house

My intention with my purchase was to have a sacrificial shoes to save miles on my precious trainers and racers. I have no intention of doing anything but walk around doing errands in these Altras. And they do that well but doesn't measure up to the Torin 5 Luxe sadly.
The fit is very loose in the toe box to the point I would consider sizing down if any retailers had them to try on. The upper material is a little stiff and uncomfortable at the bend point behind the toe. Hopefully that wears down well and doesn't crack over time.
I appreciate the addition of the durable and flexible XS Trek Evo Vibram sole since Altra's own sole designs wear down fast or delaminate often enough.
I would have liked the ride a bit more if this was zero drop. I have grown too accustomed to that ride after 10+ years of Altra's and other neutral ride shoes.
