Great shoe

I love my shoes. Especially love the wide toe box and firm grip in rainy weather!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] but still has a lot of cushion and has the added benefit of being waterproof. The fit is the same as the non-waterproof shoe. Another addition is the added grip on the outsole. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Great Weatherproof Training Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Alta Flow 3 GTX: A Solid Shoe This shoe performed well overall. While the toe box doesn't offer as much flex as some cloth uppers, it provided ample spacing for my toes. I was able to comfortably fit my custom orthotics, and the sizing is true to size. Breaking In Period Since I typically wear highly cushioned shoes, these required some adjustment time. If you're accustomed to maximum cushioning, expect a brief break-in period. The heel counter was initially stiff and uncomfortable against my Achilles—especially since I'm used to quickly slipping my shoes on. However, after a few wears and adjusting how I put them on, they became comfortable. I now take a few extra seconds to put them on properly, which feels natural. Heel Drop & Feel I love the 4mm drop. Coming from running shoes with much higher heel drops, the lower drop feels significantly better and more natural to me than traditional shoes. Performance in Wet Conditions I primarily used these for walking and agility drills in wet conditions. Although the material is stiffer than some cloth uppers, my feet stayed completely dry—a major improvement over my usual experience, where my feet, socks, orthotics, and shoes would be soaking wet. The traction is exceptional too. I deliberately walked on surfaces I knew would be slippery with regular shoes, and the soles provided outstanding grip without requiring any changes to my gait. Overall Quality The shoe feels well-made. The upper material suggests excellent durability. Recommendation I'd recommend these to anyone who loves outdoor training but avoids it due to weather and trail conditions. I'm excited to wear them for winter training. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I would definitely recommend these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would definitely recommend these shoes to someone who is looking for a great waterproof running shoe. They have great grip and traction. They were just a little stiff for my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I primarily used this for dirt road and paved trail running. Shoe was very light weight and true to size. Initially felt like the heel was slipping but with a heel lock lacing, I had a great fit and a roomy toe box. Unfortunately, precipitation in our area has been very low so haven't had a chance to get them very muddy/wet to try out the GTX but I do expect it to be a good winter running shoe as it does keep my feet warm.

Great Traction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had absolutely no issues with waterproofing in this shoe. It performed exceptionally well when I went for a walk in the rain and would have been especially helpful when I was washing the house. After wearing the FWD VIA2, my feet, shoes, and orthotics ended up completely soaked. In contrast, this shoe kept everything dry during my walk and while I crossed a wet plastic deck. The grip was outstanding. When I stepped onto the wet deck, my foot did not slip at all, and I felt very secure. Compared with other shoes I’ve worn, this shoe provided excellent traction, which made me feel confident on wet surfaces. It would definitely be my go-to shoe for winter and rainy conditions. The shoe fit well, although it took me a little time to adjust after wearing the FWD VIA2. I sometimes go without socks when wearing the FWD VIA2, but with this shoe, wearing socks made it even more comfortable. The FWD VIA2 also has a 4mm drop, so there was no adjustment. I have found the 4mm drop comfortable and stable for me. Since my feet are slim and I don’t have much natural cushioning, the socks provided the extra padding I needed on the top of my feet. I also appreciated the shoe’s versatility. I was able to walk, run, and perform agility exercises without needing to change footwear. I wore the shoes throughout the day for a variety of activities and never felt the need to switch to another pair. Overall, this is an excellent, comfortable, and highly versatile shoe that delivered great performance in both wet and dry conditions. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Best Shoes for Workout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes far surpassed what I was expecting. These shoes provided support, fit perfectly, stayed dry and were comfortable. Most surprising was how light weight these shoes were. I was pleasantly surprised! After years of wearing heavy and bulky running shoes, these are no comparison. Most impressive was the style, fit and my feet stayed dry. I would certainly purchase.

Great Waterproof shoe for those that live in wet areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit: I have wide feet which is what attracted me to Altra initially. These are less wide than the Escalantes I normally run in, but the toe box was roomy enough. The more narrow area was the midfoot which at first made me think the shoes were too narrow, but they actually fit better and felt more a part of my foot. Waterproofness: The waterproof is nice when it is rainy or wet outside which is nice ad works great. The one drawback however is that I live in Florida where it is quite hot also and the waterproof feature keeps water out but also kinda keeps it in when you're sweaty. Grip: Grip is very good and much better than other shoes I've had. There's one section of sidewalk on my normal route that has like moss or something on it which was much less slippery with these. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
