NOT IT ALTRA!!

I've been wearing "waterproof" Lone Peaks for years. Started with the bright blue ones back in 2020, and then replaced those in 2023 with the light blue mid version. Both were box to trail with no blisters for me. Super comfortable!! These are definitely a bit heavier (I think they're trying to respond to the many comments about the waterproofing) but my problem is they completely redid the ankle shape! Took these on a long hike for my first outing given my experience with Altras and I came back with huge blisters across the backs of both of my ankles as well as blisters on my toes. Let that heal and took them on a short hike (thinking it was my fault) and same thing after only 3 miles :( If you look at the ankle portion of the boot it's completely different than their last few models. Much skinnier and a big U-shape so I think it's pushing my ankle back the whole time rather than offering support. Definitely returning and going to try to find a previous model!

Love these so much! Bought them just before 4 day hike and they were amazing- I only wear wide toe box shoes and these fit the bill! Also super light. I am size 9-9.5 and ending up going with a 10.

Great boot, get half size up

My husband and I both got these boots and both needed to order a half size up from any other Altra shoe we have. Other than that, great, supportive boot. Keeps feet dry in wet grass and light rain. Due to other reviews, I expect the waterproofing to let me down someday but one week in so far so good.
