B Yoga B MAT Strong 71" 6mm Yoga Mat

I sweat profusely. Enough for people to stop and look or comment. I use this for my hot yoga classes and it holds up nicely. Sweat droplets evaporate relatively quickly but it all depends on how fast your practice is going. If you're being led by a total nut job during a power & flow class, the sweat may not dry before you get into the next position and you'll slide a bit. Otherwise, the sweat dries...again bare in mind that I pretty much water board my mat ordinarily. The mat gets more grippy over time. I clean it with super diluted dawn and water mix. My practice has improved significantly because I no longer slide on my towel or mat. I no longer have to compromise my practice because I'm trying to hold on for dear life. Does the mat smell? Well yes, it's rubber. The scent fades as time passes. I don't smell anything really. I'm really focused on my own suffering during my practice so it's not really something I notice. My mat hasn't started to pill or anything, but if you visit the half moon website, the creator of the mat, they advise that it's normal bc it's rubber. The also tell you how to use it to preserve it. The mat is firm but well cushioned. I have a messed up knee and the bone kind of protudes. Despite this, I can get into child's pose and it doesn't hurt my knee. When this mat gives out, I'll get another.

I really like the thickness of this mat but it is really heavy compared to the regular BMat. Just not as easy to walk around with but I think the extra padding will be great for my yoga sessions.
