My son liked these so much he asked to get them when he sized up. My BIGGEST complaint with hese and most skates is the poor insoles. The footbed SHOULD provide support and comfort. Almost all skates require the purchase of additional insoles to provide support, cushioning and protection from the rivets on the interior of the skate. For a moderate price skate they continue to come with a paper thin liner that's really is only consistent with the branding and serves little purpose.

Skates are great so far, it took 12 days to get delivered. That was disappointing. Overall, happy with purchase.

Bought these skates early Nov 2023. First skate felt great and subsequent skates were always better. Only took about 6 skates to feel they were really broken in. Unfortunately the reason for the 2 star review is the quality of the boot lining. Both inside upper lining above top eyelet has worn through to the boot after only approx 6 weeks. Ostensibly very poor lining quality in an area that would generate some friction. I reached out to Bauer and they were no help suggesting it is normal wear and tear. Not sure how the lining wearing out after 6 weeks is normal . If the lining issue was better i would probably give a 4 or 5 star review.

Ankle bruising.... design issue!

The store staff was great at trying to solve the problem but this is a design problem with the material inside the boot. The store replaced the 9.5D's with 9.5 2E's and the skates were warmed and molded . There is too dense material under the inside ankle bone (medial maleolus) and it is bruising me there on both feet. I can only use the skates by not tightening the skates across the ankles. I have never used the top eyelets on previous skates . I am a strong skater and I can still use the skates but after playing multiple games my feet are bruised and sore. In all other ways, the skates are perfect. A great fit. I would like a Bauer tech rep with some real knowledge to talk with me about this. This is problem is beyond SportChek's ability to solve.
