Fraying mesh material on Ultrasonic shorts

My son said the pants were very comfortable but
we didnt like the new mesh material. 1 use and they started fraying on the inner thigh from the rubbing. Once the velcro that holds the thigh zippers tight start to grab and rub on the mesh they definitely wore out fast, and that was just 1 use. I returned them and got the 3S Pro which still has mesh but way stronger.
I dont think they would have lasted the season and at that price, no way i was keeping them.
All brands are making them like that now, i just looked hard and alot of shorts for the strongset material.
Sherwood still make the older style shorts with no mesh

Hockey pants

The top part of the pad doesnt stay on the hip on one side,, i always pull it up but it comes back down.
