Bauer Vapor Hyperlite Senior Chest Protector

This is the nicest chest and arms Ive ever worn. Great mobility and great protection. I am 63 and wear and XL. It rubs a little under my armpits but doesnt bother me. I can scratch the top of my head while wearing these no problem. I would say that they are just as mobile as the supreme arms.

I have this unit in medium and it is an awesome CampA, very protective and very mobile, but I just cant get the arms short enough enough. It is a constant battle with the arms pushing off my gloves. I also have problems with the upper portions of the sides pushing into my armpits. I have the Velcro adjustments pulled so far down on the arms that there is exposed Velcro that is catching and chewing up material on the arms. I dont care for the single elastic strap to fasten the unit closed having only one point of closure. I would prefer buckles on both sides. All of these points are purely points that do not work for me and my body type. The quality is there, it is very, very protective and light and mobile - it just does not work for me. I still have this medium, but do not use it and will likely sell it. I tried to work through it, but I cannot. I used it for a few games so cannot return it to where I bought it. I did buy from PHL the same unit in size small, however, the arms are still too long for me. I did not use it for a game, so it was returned to PHL and exchanged for a Vaughn VE8 Pro Carbon. The BAUER definitely beats out the Vaughn in arm protection, so I have to use a padded shirt underneath it. The Vaughn V9 Pro is just too beefy for me as I am a mobile goalie and not a fill the net blocking goalie. If the Bauer Hyperlight works size-wise for you, then you wont regret that purchase
