Very flexible boot construction Beware!

They are good skates but have some faults. If you’re used to stiffer hockey skates, these are going to be a disappointment. So the fit and comfort are great. The boot itself is quite flexible so if you’re used to stiff skates for the ice, you will overflex these boots easily. The boot durability is not too good either, they are banged up and look like a year old and I have owned them for 1 week. I did reach out to Bauer about this and they told me these are entry level skates and are meant for beginners. I am new to inline skates but these, I can tell will not last long. Alright, enough about the bad. The good, as stated before they are comfortable. If you tighten the skates really well all the way up, they will maintain enough stiffness to skate(think old school boots from the 90’s ie Grafs). The wheels are pretty decent, I have done a bunch of stops on concrete and rough asphalt and they look fine. The holders are actually tough as nails! The boot will explode before the holders do. Also, a quick note, waxed laces are a great addition to these skates(worth the $5). Anyways, take this review into consideration with other reviews and make your choice. This is coming from a 40+ ole beer leaguer!

Purchased roller blades for my grandson for his 9th birthday. He loves them. He is a hockey goalie so I wasn't sure how proficient he would be, but he scoots around like he was born on them.
