Nice basic recreational paddle

Kudos to the company buyers for carrying this product. In my opinion it has the best and easiest to use adjustable (Leverlock) handle system. Leverlock is instantly and infinitely adjustable on the fly while paddling and and has no annoying bumps or ridges on the shaft found on a pin-adjustable paddle.
Mine from the factory needed minor tightening of that system, which is easy to do with a small wrench and a pair of needle nose pliers. Remove the handle extension from the shaft, grip the cotter pin in the end of the handle-extension with the pliers, gently turn the nut 1/4 turn, and re-fit and re-test the tightness in the shaft. I used two 1/4 turns to get the tightness I wanted. Do not over tighten. Check videos online that show this adjustment procedure if you are not sure.
The paddle blade is basic plastic, with the catch side being smooth, and the backside of the blade with ridged reinforcements. Very basic, but for a rec paddle it's fine. With this paddle you don't have to worry about mashing an expensive carbon blade on rocks. The shaft is reasonable, it looks like it has roughly the low carbon in the shaft the manufacturer claims. It's not super light, but reasonable for a rec paddle. You need to spend more than 2-3x the price to get truly lightweight carbon paddles.
The other great thing about the Levelock system, is if you ever decide to upgrade to an all carbon paddle that is Leverlock compatible, you can either buy the shaft only for that new carbon paddle, or if you buy it complete, you know you have a backup handle with this BIC purchase.
And you can buy replacement Leverlock parts if needed from that company. And they offer multiple grip types you can substitute into this paddle if say you want a palm grip instead of a T-trip. What's not to like.
