When it comes to superlight, three-season comfort, the Rapide SL Insulated pad stands alone. Built with offset I-Beam construction, this proprietary design reduces weight while providing multi-directional support for consistent stability and comfort. This superlight air chamber pad sleeps warmer using two layers of heat reflective film, and is third party rated with an R-Value of 4.8 for use through three seasons. The Rapide SL Insulated is lighter, tougher, more packable, easy to inflate/deflate, and provides superior performance and packability for any adventure. Save your breath for the miles ahead and use the included pumphouse high volume inflation sack to inflate.

Surprisingly comfy for a side sleeper!

Very comfortable, the baffles and slight stretch keep you on the pad while minimizing noise. Sizing works well for a petite person. It is not suitable for a person who is average or larger build, consider a wider pad. Easy to set-up and pack away, ideal for shoulder/summer season but will not keep you warm below 5C to 7C depending on whether you sleep cold or have an additional closed cell pad underneath.

Perfect match

The weight versus comfort feels like the perfect match for me with this pad. Sure, there might be lighter pads available but then the comfort level goes way down and vice versa for comfier pads but then much heavier. I love the slightly raised sides to prevent sliding or rolling off. It’s quite quiet with movement which is a bonus if you are sharing a tent with someone.

Can't be beat!

Best pad out there for the money. Light, comfortable and affordable. I'm 6'1" and after a few trips on the regular long opted for the wide long, worth the extra few grams for just a bit more space and comfort. I recommend this pad to anyone who is asking.

Super comfortable for side sleeping

I've tried several pads and this is my favorite. Compared to UL options I'm giving up a few ounces here, but a good night's sleep is important and I have not been disappointed. I'm a side sleeper and this pad provides plenty of support without bottoming out. Warmth was fine on a recent 32 degree night (paired with an Enlightened Equipment quilt). I also like the side rails - no more accidentally sliding off the pad in the middle of the night.
