Quite possibly my favorite car camping tent

This is my second Big Agnes tent(Copper Spur 2 previously). I decided to purchase a car camping tent for cooler long weekends in Florida. I wanted the Bunk House 6 but, I couldn't find the footprint for it. That's where this tent came in after careful planning and research. Setting up, I find that Big Agnes tents are easy to set up with color coded poles and tent grommets. I read the other reviews about needing two people to set up and I was worried. I realize that if you aren't really tall it is difficult to set up by yourself. I for one am tall and it wasn't that much of an issue. My only complaint with set up is trying to get the rainfly over the tent. Other than that it was fairly easy for me. Inside: room and spacious. Used this tent for a group meet up and had a friend share the tent with me. There was plenty of room for 2-3 more people as long as you don't have a lot of gear. I would say this is perfect for a family of four with a decent amount of gear. Tear down: Just as simple as setting up. My only issue is the bag. I was able to fit everything in there but, I feel like the bag could have been a bit bigger. Maybe a bag similar to the Bunk House 4/6.

Very easy 3 Pole set up, 2 poles are identical for the 4 corners, so no way to get things to mixed up. Pretty quick to set up even for one person (if you are tall). Great sized tent with plenty of standing room in this 6 person tent. Love the more natural color selection (olive) when camping the woods - a bright orange is not always the best looking, so really happy with this color. The Olive is great, much calmer on the eyes. Size is terrific and did i mention the height this is awesome with plenty of room for those of us who are 6ft or slightly more. PLEASE PLEASE do make an awning option for this tent - it would be a game changer if this has a large (but separate) awning, in bad weather you are somewhat confined to the tent, but with an awning added to the front of this tent, means you can sit and cook outside the tent but would remain under cover ! The tent is easy to take down, very sturdy and with the BIG AGNES name I'm sure it will be waterproof and reliable for many uses and many years, Storage pockets inside help with keeping clutter off the floors. Overall a good looking, great functional tent with good headroom , easy to pitch and takedown even for 1 person. Really pleased - p.s. I would Love the option for an additional awning ... please consider this as an additional option.

This is my 2nd Big Agnes tent, my prior tent was awesome but was lacking in headroom. This tent is awesome even for taller people. This definitely fits into car camping and not backpacking, but this is an awesome tent for 4 with plenty of headroom. I would love a bigger vestibule in case of prolonged bad weather, so you can still sit/cook/etc outside of the main tent. I know Big Agnes does do some tents with an add on awning. Really hoping an additional awning will become available for the front of this Spicer Peak 6. With an addition or the option of an addition it would for me be a game changer! Big Agnes, please consider making an awning for this tent.... please please:). Love the size and color. This is luxurious for those who are tall. Totally love it!

Excellent. Camped on the west coast on the beach. Mild weather so can't comment on how it would manage in higher winds but feels very sturdy. Love this tent! Glad I got it over the Big House. Double doors and vestibule and standing height.

I recently used the Spicer Peak 6 on a 10 day road trip where we would be camping some of the nights. The tent was easy to set up and take down, and we had plenty of space for 3 adult (me and my 2 sons). We had some light rain one night and the rain fly did its job. I am very pleased with this tent.

I have not used the tent yet, only set it up in the yard to ensure that all components were present, undamaged, and to get a feel for just how big it is. The tent is very spacious and tall and can easily accommodate a family. The materials used all appear to be high quality, however, I think larger and longer stakes should be used since the tent is so large any wind is going to really test just how well it has been secured. Also, a full complement of stakes should be supplied to match the number of guy points. Lastly, the stuff sack is so small, it is not worth even trying to get the tent back in.

I purchased this tent for a family/hunting tent. Fairly easy to set up by myself. It has more usable room than cheap dome tents I've owned in the past. Very impressed with the quality of construction and the metal poles are really make it a sturdy tent.

Tent appears excellent. Set it up inside the house. It's huge! Only issue which isn't really an issue is the length of the main poles which slip through. You need a clear site.
