Build quality seems good, I haven't yet used the product. So far, based on inspection, it is as designed and intended.

We use this mat to get our fire pit off the ground. Raises the height for cooking and enjoying the radiant heat of the fire.

This mat is high quality it does a great job protecting the grass under my fire pit and gives me peace of mind.

Does what it is supposed to do. Little on the heavy side, but might make the difference with fire regulations and such

I bought the FireMat several years ago. I have used it with my FirePit but I mostly use it when grilling while camping. I have a wood pellet grill and a regular grill that can generate enough heat to burn a picnic table or our fold up table. I always use the FireMat under whichever grill I'm using to protect the table. I've even used the FireMat has a heat shield between the grill and our camper once when the only level ground I had for grilling was to close to the camper exterior. I use this FireMat so much that I just bought a second one.
