    Needed a belay device with a larger capacity than my gigajul and this works perfectly. Plenty of capacity and guide ready features. It even comes in black. Perfect!

    This ATC does exactly what it’s supposed to and does it well. I’ve put it to good use, and it has reliably stopped every fall it was meant to. Lowering is smooth and easy, and the front grooves grip the rope very well, making it effortless to hold and maintain someone in the air. I’ve had no issues with rope fraying, and it’s impressively sturdy. After more than 50 uses, the paint hasn’t even started to wear. Overall, it’s a solid piece of gear that performs exceptionally well.

    I usually always use a gri-gri, but I needed an ATC to multipitch, and this one worked great! Haven't used the guide mode yet.

    As a guide, I look for long-lasting, reliable gear that will keep up with me for years to come. I continuously go back to the ATC guide as a trusty and lightweight partner for everything from single-pitch cragging days, to big multi-pitch objectives, to long, beautiful rappels.

    This ATC has been a great addition to my rack. It’s simple, reliable, and does exactly what it is intended to. Feeds rope smoothly and gives solid control on the way down. It’s light enough to forget it’s on your harness. A really dependable piece of gear.
