Despite its lightweight construction, the belay device is durable. With its multiple friction modes, the belay device can handle a wider range of rope diameters, from 7.7 mm to 11 mm. The high-friction mode in the Black Diamond Belay offers three times greater holding and stopping power for better control and safety for outdoor adventurers.
