Black Diamond Distance 4 Hydration Vest

Ordered a women's M received a Men's M couldn't figure out why the sizing was wrong until I seen the little tag on the side of the vest saying men's M super disappointed.

Having never run wih a vest or hydration pack, I was worried I would obsesss over it bouncing around on the trail for 2 1/2 hours. But having run my first trail 1/2 marathon with just a water bottle and getting seriously dehydrated I promised mysef that'd have to end. To my absolute pleasure it fit snug, but not restrictive. There was enough fluid to help me pass the first aide station. Zipper pocket fits my S20, front pouches hold plnty of gel packs and calories. I can reach the back pocket to ditch and store clothes for when i inevitability wear to much on the trail. Now I wear it out for practice runs. Essential part of my long distane gear now.

I really like all the stash pockets and flexibility with bottles I can use since its pockets stretch so much. I wish it had two zippered pockets. Only real complaint so far.

I'm very happy with my Distance 4 Hydration Vest. It has a great suspension system that keeps gear from jostling. Mesh everywhere means ventilation is superb. I've also been pleasantly surprised with how much I can carry. Zippered pocket in the front keeps my phone and keys readily accessible & secure. Well done BD!

I got this vest to start running. Having this vest makes me motivated to continue running. I love the functionality of the vest. I. Have yet to try to the trekking pole holders, I will on my next hike!

Functionality wise, awesome vest. Feels good running. I wore mine for 46 miles. It doesn't have a huge capacity and that's fine, it's right there in the description, so understand this is a solid choice if you are gonna have lots of aid station visits. Might not be best if you've got tons of miles to go without aid. The reason it's getting 3 stars from me is the color. I'm sorry but the color shown in the picture isn't even CLOSE to the actual color. The Carbon is navy blue. Like. . . just google navy blue. That's the carbon. I really wanted that lighter grey color as the picture shows. I decided to keep the vest and just use it as my "stay in the car go pack" for light runs or walks. Bummed about the color though.

This was my first running vest and picked BD after reading all the reviews. Really like it. Got the medium and used the size chart measurement. I was near the bottom of medium and upper of small. It has a little bounce and I have to tighten pretty much all the way for it to feel comfortable. Overall though it performs really well.

The vest was a gift for my mom, and like a true mom, she’s always extra prepared for any situation—so she really loved how many compartments it has. They’re not just practical, they’re also sturdy and spacious. She ran over 20km with it and said it was comfortable the whole time, with no chafing at all.
