Black Diamond Storm 500-R Headlamp

Bought this to replace the one I lost. I love the reliability of batteries but I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like the rechargeable option now.

Headlamp worked wonderfully. Had a previous storm with battery power. Rechargeable storm works the same and feels a bit lighter and more compact. Battery life was great. Highly recommend!

Have had other headlamps before but love the brightness of this one in comparison to its competitors

This is the best hiking lamp for almost everyone. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of testing and trial using most of the mid-range and few high range head lamps. The storm beats them out on pretty much every feature. The battery lasts way longer than most headlamps out there. The option to go to red and adjust lighting is perfect for letting your eyes adjust for stars that night. It’s a super lightweight package. I’d recommend it to anyone trying to find a headlamp to just purchase this one because it’s the perfect fit for almost everyone.

Searched for a headlamp light enough for comfort, long-lasting enough to avoid recharge on long adventures, and sturdy enough to be tossed around during load/unload. Also needed to be affordable. This one is perfect.

So far, this headlamp has been great. I love being able to charge it in my car on the way up the mountains or with a portable battery. It can get super bright but it’s also dimmable so it doesn’t have to blind everyone. All in all, I really like it.

I've had a lot of headlamps and this one is by far the best! Love all the different features. I was really skeptical about getting a rechargeable one vs battery operated, but so far so good.
