Limestone sport routes, granite big walls, steep ice and alpine faces—for those who climb it all, all year long, the Black Diamond Technician Harness is a durable quiver-of-one harness that tackles any climb on the calendar. Made with adjustable leg loops and the lightweight support of the Fusion Comfort Technology, the Technician features a quick-drying, durable shell that stands up to abrasive rock and foul conditions. Speed buckles on the waistbelt and leg loops offer a wide range of adjustability to accommodate changing layers throughout the seasons. Four gear loops, a rear fifth loop, and four Ice Clipper slots secure any sized rack.

    Solid Harness, Could be Better

    I appreciate the design intention of the harness but I think it has a couple shortcomings. The gear loops are small which is fine for sport but not ideal for gear intensive climbing like trad and ice (an opinion of course). Second would be the comfort, in my opinion, is not ideal for long days. I typically wear a BI Cuesta ADJ and had other brands harness that provided more comfort overall. I took it up a 6 pitch gear route and other long rock routes, have worn it ice climbing plenty, and I now tend to keep it as my backup. It is a pretty streamlined waist belt and feels a little too reliant on the internal webbing as the support structure which tends to dig into the body in my experience over the years. That being said the construction seems solid, the feature set is there, and hopefully it is a little more comfortable for you if you decided to go for it!

    This harness is so Comfortable. Sitting on long multi pitch routes or just a cragging day. This harness is great!! The adjustable leg straps are a must! They are so comfortable and easy to adjust for the perfect fit

    Super comfy harness that I feel like I can wear all day. Not as much so with a backpack, but that is expected. Enough gear loops for everything I need and still comfy when I load everything on here.

    I have to adjust it to the max and it still doesn't end up fitting well enough, the size guide doesn't help at all. Additional it's quite uncomfortable after a short time it starts to carve.

    As a trad climber, I love this harness, especially the fifth gear loop in the back. It is a great place to hold the stuff that you only need at beginning/end of pitches, like anchor gear, extra lockers, etc. Please add this simple loop (while keeping haul loop) for all of your harnesses!
