    Great pair of boots

I love this pair of approach boots. It’s so comfy and it does have a good grip. I used it once but I’m very happy I chose this pair. I’m looking forward to a lot of hiking and slide climb with this pair

The shoes are sleek, well made with high quality materials. Inside is soft and give good support. I usually order 1/2 size up for hiking boots, but this pair needs 1 full size up.

I do a lot of trekking around the world and black diamond hiking boots never disappoint! No hot spots or rubbing on their ankle. I typically buy a pair just before a trip and seldom have to break them in. Heading off to Patagonia for a month and look forward to putting miles on these bad boys!

Super light and comfy! Steady grip on loose steep terrain.

Excellent traction. Love the front of the shoe (the extra protection over the toes). Haven't walked in rainy weather yet, but these feel durable and I would imagine that they can keep some water out. The leather approach shoe in a size 11 did not fit me, but a size 11 in these did. Wish they would consider making sizes 11.5 and 12. I know I am not alone in this.

I have been looking for new hikers for a while and ordered these and I am so I did. They are so light but still feel like a boot. I have a wide foot and the toes box fits me great. Didn’t have to much time to break them in before I wore them through a gnarly mountain pass and they didn’t give me any blisters! Also they were sturdy enough to snowshoe in.

I tested those shoes to approach a climbing crag. The approach was a mix of steep (uphill and downhill) dry dirt and a scramble on rocks. I loved the grip of those shoes on any terrain, and the ankle support is perfect, sturdy enough to avoid twisting without impede movement. The shoes looks slick, they are light, very comfortable and the material seems very good. I am curious to know how they do in wet conditions and snow. The only downside I found is that my feet got warm and sweaty, I would have liked those shoes more breathable. Overall I am really happy whit them.

    Seem Small

I am sending these back and will reorder the next larger size. Kind of bummed that I will have to pay return shipping, and place a separate order for the next size up, when most retailers I buy from these days will take care of this stuff all at once, and allow me to print a shipping label to boot. I am a US Women's 8, and the 39 I received is too small. Normally 39 is my go-to size. So I would say that they run small. They look well-built and are quite light, but I can't speak to the quality until I get a set that fits comfortably on my feet.
