Not what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did have to return these after a 5 mile run. I read all the reviews before buying. This I do appreciate from Brooks. I’m still completely emotionally unstable since I’ve hated every Hyperion Max that came out since the 2’s that were my favorite and the light of my life and thought I’d try a light and responsive shoe by Brooks. It’s squishy. Dreadfully squishy. Like your foot sinking into slime. No energy return. My Achilles flared up about mile 3. I may have to go back to the Hyperion max when they get a new shoe design that isn’t awful. I really wanted to love this shoe. I will say the toe box was roomy enough and I did like that!

Once Upon a Run
A very long while ago (10+ years) i approached my local shoes salesman for next pair of running shoes.
I had spent many years running in a different brand, which i became unhappy with their changers.
I asked about Brooks and he kept steering me back to a different brand. I picked up a pair of brooks and put them on out of spite. Wow, they felt great. I asked about the ghost, again he flipped me off with not so nice comments.
I asked if he had worn them or ran in them. He declined to say. I walked out of there with not one, but two pairs of Brooks.
I never went back there again.
I went to this website. Since then i have a very healthy relationship with my Brooks shoes (or my members of the family say unhealthy) Don't see them running! I have been given the pleasure of running in these new Brooks Ghost AMP shoes, and a pleasure they have been. I never thought i would be able to not run in my Glycerin Max or Hyperion Max shoes. Now i am in deep love with the Ghost AMP. I have to admit when i opened the box and saw the peach color i was shocked. I am not a girly person and they felt girly.
After my first 10km in them, i forgot the colour, they go with black well!
So many people at my gym have asked to try them on. Sold them many times over.
Responsive, comfortable and a pleasure to wear. The runners high came on quick with my long run last weekend. I noted i have very little arch discomfort in these compared to what i have been battling in the past on occasion. Grip wise i am happy, i am more of a trail gal, however, these shoes have made beating the pavement a true pleasure. Lightweight and soft to the touch i am more than happy with the opportunity Brooks has presented me. I will be putting another pair (different color) in my cart next month. The confidence and comfort this shoe has given me is priceless.

Good with some improvements needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the overall fit and feel of the shoe when I put it on. It is a pretty responsive ride however I do think it could be a bit smoother transition with more spring. If you are a heel striker this probably is not for you. I feel the best in these shoes when running faster and my cadence is quicker. Not a slower recovery shoe, at least for me.

Comfy fun shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are super comfy! I have tried them on a treadmill and outdoors, and find that they are especially good for endurance runs- i ran my longest distance in these!
I am relatively new to running and usually run in a shoe with a little support (Hyperion max 2 and GTS 2 my faves), but these were suggested by the “shoe finder”, and so far so good to have them in my closet! Love the fun purple too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ghost redesign has a narrower toe box than the old ghost 16. Love the way these shoes feel otherwise, but even the wide width rubbed my bunion. Disappointed because sometimes the glycerin is a little too much cushion. I returned these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] good cushion yet not overdone. I enjoyed this for just daily runs. It is good for some slightly faster runs or just easy runs. I did not have any aches or pains with it. Good ground feel but soft and responsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shoe is light weight and has some pop when running in it. The tongue seems to be a little taller and nagged a little at first. Overall a good shoe but I find the glycerin flex is a little more comfortable for me personally. I ordered the same size I always do and it fit perfect
