I have been snowboarding with my daughter for the past 2 years (since she was 3) and this has been a lifesaver. I tow her around the neighbourhood to get the mail, to and from the chairlift across the flats, back up the small carpet hills off to the side when the lines are huge so we can practice tricks and ground spins. She pulls her own board when she gets tired of carrying it during lessons. Other parents at the ski hill see how easy this has made our life and how much fun we have and after discussing with me, have purchased as a result and are just as thrilled. Only downside is you are stuck with a burton board, which is not really a bad thing ( : but limits options. My daughter has a chicklet with 70hrs on it this year. No issue with either product in terms of installation and or retracting after 2 years. We bought a riglet board when she was 3 and upgraded to the chicklet and transferred the riglet reel with ease. NOTE: Remove before sharpening and waxing board and reinstall afetrwards.

This product is excellent when it arrives in good condition with all the parts. I received only half of the parts in a damaged box and had to return it. It looks like another shopper mentioned the same thing in their review so I think I received someone else’s returned product.
I’ve used these reels before and they are great for the kiddos!

Worked... for a while

The Riglet Reel didn't line up with the holes on one end of the snowboard and the holes/screws in the Riglet Reel didn't seem to quite line up correctly on the other end. Cord never retracted as smoothly as expected. Transferred to this year's snowboard and same issue, holes didn't quite line up. Metal pieces for the screws came loose and ultimately fell out of the Riglet Reel and were lost on the hill. Now it's useless.
From the start this never worked as well as we wanted but it was functional. Didn't last 2 seasons before breaking beyond repair. Only reason I 'recommend' is because there's no other option and it was handy when it worked.
