    Excellent product, very happy! It fits well and it is comfortable. The only improvement I would suggest is to put some kind of soft rebate to protect the unuse velcro part from becoming dirty when the child limbs get larger with age.

    Black good for both girls & boys, M size for 10-12

    Although the black ones are listed online as girls', the packaging makes no mention of girls vs boys, and the black works well for both. Since SportChek provides no sizing info, I guessed and bought M for an average sized 9 year-old boy, and L for an average sized 11 year-old girl. While the pads are fine, the straps only have a moderate amount of velcro so they don't have a wide range of fit. The straps are a bit long for them, but should fit better next year. The mesh bags these come in can be re-used for storage of the pads so that's a plus, but for some strange reason the edge of the cardboard packaging is sewn right into the seam of the bag. To re-use the bag it's best to remove the cardboard, but the only viable way to do that is to cut it off, leaving the last 1 cm of it stuck in the seam. I rate these a 3 for the design and the flexibility of the fit, but for the overall rating I give them a 4 because of their relatively low cost.
