    Perfect Helmet for a 7-Year-Old

    We bought the CCM Fitlite 3DS Junior Hockey Helmet Combo for our 7 year old and it’s been a great choice. The adjustable sizing makes it easy to get a perfect fit, and it’s very comfortable to wear. It feels secure without being bulky. Highly recommend for young players!

    Great helmet, fit is perfect thanks to the adjustability. I do worry that if anything ever happens it becomes instant garbage though. Centre hinge is custom and not available to purchase separately anywhere. It is just plastic. My team trainer bag has nothing that could fix or replace this in the ‘field’.

    like the adjustability of this helmet, can last a few years. difficult to buy the decals now though as i suppose this helmet has been available for a few years.

    Plastic cage mount breaks...and is custom part

    Just be aware that the cage on this helmet is unique. All hockey helmets - even the goalies - use the same mounting system making cages interchangeable. NOT THIS CAGE! See that little kink in the cage near the top? and that proprietary plastic mounting thing? That breaks. And when it does the cage rattles around loose and you have no choice but to buy a new, regular, standard cage...which cost almost as much as the helmet itself.. There are no replacement parts available from CCM.

    Is so much sturdier than my daughter's previous helmet. I love the fact that it is adjustable and will grow with her for the next couple of years.
