Excellent-Value But Not-Exactly As-Pictured

What's-not-to-like! Fresh & cool, with-both modern & retro styling; advanced, lightweight one-piece boot-technology; great-price for performance-level specs! (Disclaimer: bought-for only-recreational skating). Note: CCM has-revised the graphics on the FT475: my-size 6.5W has the 'One Piece Boot' wording moved-to a wider, white-stripe under-the 'not-too-large' thankfully, CCM heel-logo. Also, the-playful 'easter-egg' sayings (Designed in Montreal, etc.) on the inner-heel stripe have-been deleted. The tongue also-has the red contrast-stitching... and triangular-shaped 'scuff-bumpers' border each-side of the toe-cap. This-facing & that-around the eyelets & tendon-guard are shiny-black which contrasts-sweetly with the semi-matte lines & honeycomb-pattern on the quarters... but long-term appearance... YMMV? And viewed-from behind, the heel-graphics were-made less-asymmetrical. An Email sent-directly to CCM, commenting-about these design-changes, was-ignored... LOL, I-guess, we'll never-know-why! Haven't yet baked-them but-noticed that the new CCM wide-fit seems a tiny-bit wider-than a Tacks EE fit... but is-not as-deep in-volume as the 2019 Ribcore EE fit. The boot-itself is stiff-enough for-me: 140 CCM stiffness-rating, easily more-than-enough for public-skating! Skate 'fit & finish' was-excellent apart-from one small-place of slightly-crooked stitching. But-if you play-hockey competitively or you're built-of a heavier-weight, then 'by-all-means' step-up to the FT485 (with it's RFM composite-core) or a model-higher. Otherwise, this-affordable FT475 is a 'super-no-brainer' best-choice for the casual-user if-it fits-you-well! Cheers!
