Oval Face Warning: Static Chin Pad Hurts

It does not have independent width or height adjustment, which means the overall geometry of the helmet shell is fixed, limiting how the attached cage and chin cup can sit relative to my chin angle. This results in a poor design with zero functional adjustability for my oval face shape (not round-headed!). The face cage is terrible, and the chin pad is completely static; it doesn't tilt or shift at all, which is a major issue with a downward-angled chin. Since a larger size wouldn't fit my head, this mask is basically unusable for me, the chin pad would definitely hurt my chin instead. If you need any flexibility in how your mask sits, avoid the CCM Tacks 70 Combo Senior Hockey Helmet and look for models with a truly customizable fit.

This helmet fits really well. Bought for 9yo. All other brands sloped down over her eyes but this one fits snug and she says it’s very comfortable
