Right idea... but back to the drawing board.

CCM has the right idea with these, although it's total overkill unless you're playing full contact, aggressive hockey. The image doesn't really capture how these things fit, as the padded shoulders don't contour to the shape of your shoulders and stick up and look insane, and the upper rib pads also don't really contour the body. The neck guard is really good quality with supreme coverage compared with the Warroad ones, but is tricky / annoying to close as there's a weird diagonal section that's hard to line up, as well as the standard wrap closure. The velcro snags on the soft material of the inner neck guard so that diagonal part is going to create damage and pills instantly. If you need this kind of protection, sure, more padding in certain areas is great - the spine padding seems like a good idea. The rib padding also, although on my body it seems to be too high up, where my shoulder pads already mostly cover - it would be better a bit lower to protect the lower ribs and kidneys. And the weird look of if all wouldn't really matter once you get your pads on. It just seems awkward.

No, I do not recommend this product.
