Lovely Canadian flag assortment

Great assortment of flag patches in varied sizes. My package looked a little different, and provided dimensions of each patch. They came with iron-on glue on the back, but the pack had cautions about only ironing onto cotton or hemp - however, I was able to use a dishtowel as a presscloth and carefully ironed (low setting) onto a synthetic backpack. I did also handsew around the edges to reinforce - wasn't super easy, but doable.

Tried to sew this thing on by hand. Couldn’t sew through the iron on backing. Gave up after wrecking 2 needles. Machine sewed a couple patches on with a heavy needle. Looks great.

Hard to find Canadian flag patches these days for some reason. These are great quality and can be ironed or sewn on. However, the recommendation is to set the iron to a highest setting and only iron it onto cotton and not synthetic fabrics which might melt. Not sure why they don't have an adhesive that melts at a lower temperature (like the gore-tex or wetsuit repair patches available in outdoor stores). For this reason I had to sew it on to my nylon backpack and can only give 4 stars. Otherwise a great product.
