They might not know what they are talking about ..

I bought this for my latest backcountry trip. It's light enough. And the tweezer action works fine. But both all medical and disease experts say NOT to twist a tick. Instead to use a very fine tipped tweezer with a gentle, straight pull up ward. Not to strong to rip apart the tick, instead to encourage it to 'let go'. They specifically say NOT to jerk, pull or twist the tick.. So, this feels like it's more a gimmick, designed to cash in on shoppers who see this tool, and think 'yeah ok, this looks like a well thought out device'... But I'd say that the tweezers on this device are too large, and the pinching action - which you can't really control the force of - is far too strong. It might squeeze apart the tick. I'd skip this, and invest in a set of very fine nosed tweezers...
No, I do not recommend this product.
