[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The zipper on my son’s puffier coat broke and I purchased this for him as a replacement. He told me that it kept him just as warm despite being amazingly Packable, perfect for our recent trip to the mountains of Colorado.

Great jacket for my 11 year old son

Bought this jacket for my almost 12 year old son. He is about 5’3 95lb and I got him the XL. He has been growing like crazy the last year. I ordered the L at first but I could tell it was a tad tight in the arms. Returned for the XL. The XL has room for him to grow but it does not look over sized. Hopefully we can get two winter seasons out of it and it will still fit him next year. He loves it and says it keeps him very warm.

This Columbia Coat is a WINTER STAPLE

The initial test run was into the mountains in 40 degree weather, snow sledding, and exploring on a frozen lake. The Omni-heat lining did its job, my son was warm and comfortable, and never complained about being cold.

Lightweight but warm

I bought this same jacket for my daughter last year and she loved it. She outgrew it and wanted the same jacket but in all black so I ordered her the boys jacket and she loved it even more. It’s a nice lightweight jacket, not bulky at all. And it keeps her warm.
