Columbia Kids' Marquam Peak Fusion Winter Jacket

Zipper broke after one season! Coat was warm but my kids had a really hard time with the zipper. It constantly got stuck then eventually broke. So not recommended.

This is a very well-made winter jacket. My pre-teen son really likes it. He loves all the pockets! I find that it is made a bit on the large side, but that’s okay. It should fit him well this Fall/Winter.

This jacket is almost everything I would expect from a winter coat except for two things: the hood fur can be irritating when the jacket is zipped up and the zipper is a nightmare. The first few days the zipper worked and then it just stopped functioning. I would struggle to do it in the mornings and told my son to ask his teacher to help him through the day. Then the teacher complained that the zipper doesn’t connect or zip up smoothly. I did the warranty claim but had to buy another jacket as the process takes 4-6 weeks. I love the length, the look and the warmth it offers and I’m tempted to buy it again but from other reviews it sounds like it’s a defect in this complete line, I thought perhaps I got a bad product. Such a shame as it really is a good winter jacket for kids.

Great jacket ruined by a terrible zipper, which is even more of a problem as it's for a small child. It catches constantly, and the other day -- after less than a month's wear -- it got completely stuck. Thankfully we got it free after about 20 minutes of monkeying with it, but it's very frustrating. I'd happily pay more for the same jacket with a functional zipper, YKK perhaps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed the size chart and I had to return because it was too small. Reordered a size bigger and it’s good now, my son loves it and he says it’s warm! He’s having trouble with the zipper but he’ll get the hand of it . Great quality!
