The jacket size is XL and fit well, but its long in the arm and torso for a 240lb 5'10" guy.

This was an end-of-season purchase so haven’t worn it yet. The salesperson at Brantford Sportcheck (Debbie, if I recall) was super helpful and fun! The price was great for such a jacket. Looking forward to skiing in it next winter!

Kind of just what I was looking for…..only downfall it was a man’s jacket…the price was right so I bought it. Too bad Columbia doesn’t do a style like this for women. Or I couldn’t find one anyways. Perfect for late fall or early spring, when there is still a chill in the air. Or when you’re shopping.

Nice coat, but ...

I was looking for a new winter coat to replace my 10-year old Columbia winter coat that is finally starting to show its age. And, I thought that I might have found it.
First off, forget the picture. This model must be 8 feet tall, since the coat is parka-length. Both the L and the XL go half-way down my thighs. As a point of reference, the outside hands pockets are about where my normal pants pockets are. Not what I was really looking for.
I'm 5'9" and 230 lbs. Not exactly svelt, but not really fat either. I ordered both the L and the XL just in case. When I zipped up the L, I could hardly move. The XL was much better, but the neck was built for someone with a huge neck (even zipped up, I could easily stick my whole head through it). So, when I went outside, the air would get in, and the back of my neck (where there doesn't appear to be much insulation) would get really cold. This happened even with the hood up. And the weather around here has been in the '30s, so not really cold (hey, this is Michigan!). This was not what I was looking for in a winter jacket.
I REALLY wanted to like this coat, because of its great features - Omniheat and Omnitech; lots of pockets; armpit zippers; hand-warming sleeves - just look at the list. But the fit on the coat - both L and XL - meant that they both had to go back. So, I'm back to looking again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great active winter jacket (especially for sweaty folks)

Awesome jacket, just what I was looking for. I'm a sweaty person and wanted a jacket for outdoor activities (long hikes and such). For temperatures below about -10 Celsius I wear a sweater underneath for extra warmth. Breathability, material quality, and fit are all awesome. Doesn't let any wind through. I love that it keeps me warm and doesn't get soaked with sweat.
