    Leather upper failure.

I bought these boots a couple of years ago and and have been hiking the AZ Trail with them. I'm a 165 lb male with very thin feet. I struggled with them at first as I was getting a lot of blisters. After adjusting socks several times, adding duct tape to the bottom of one foot, and eliminating my orthotics, I finally figured out a combination that resulted in no blisters. By then (about 80 miles), the heel tread was gone. The rest of the tread was still OK. I mostly used them to hike with a bun pack. Two hikes were done with a 35 lb pack. Overall, I thought the sole was too thin. I could easily feel rocks and consciously avoided rocks where I could. Even so, I was about to give a 4 star review when I discovered the leather upper had a cut in it. On further inspection, I found the leather to be cracking in multiple places! I used a pair of calipers to measure the leather thickness and it was .010 inches-about the thickness of three pieces of paper. I didn't know you could cut leather that thin. I only have about 120 miles on these. Hiking boots, even cheap ones, should last at least 300 miles. These are already on their last legs. I'm very disappointed and won't buy any more Columbia boots. Too bad. I was just starting to like these.

worst pair of hiking boots ever

Absolutely the worst pair of shoes I've ever owned. Leather sarted cracking in a week. Soles on both shoes fell off after a month within days of one another. Has to do an emergency repair on the soles because I was at work (see the screws & liquid nails in pictures). I used to buy Columbia all the time, but my relationship with them has now ended.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Horrible experience

These boots were horrible, like it’s hard to describe my disappointment in these boots. I usually wear a size nine so I ordered a size nine but these wore more like a 10.5. I wore them while walking around in the cold and they have absolutely no insulation. Horrible experience.

    Amazing boots!

Best boots! Very warm and comfortable, and they look great, too. They run larger, so I got a 1/2 size lower. Perfect fit.

Super comfortable, I just love walking in these. I have worn out the bottom sole and will be getting another pair. Nothing on the shoe itself has worn out or failed, only worn the sole from so much use.

    Not Waterproof

Bought these about 6 months ago. They are comfortable. Decent traction. But the ARE NOT WATERPROOF! Why would you build a hiking boot that’s not waterproof? I have bedroom shoes that repel water better. I stepped in wet grass and had water inside these boots quickly. This was in my yard.
