Comfort, support, tread wear, style good looking

I bought a pair of these because it read comfort. I have had several different Columbia hiking shoes and never an issue but as images I needed a lot more padding. These shoes are so comfortable I now have 4 pairs, 2 black, one light gray, one that looks red in the pic but is actually more reddish orange to me. The first pair were black. I tried the 8.5 but was too tight so I got a 9 and it’s a good fit. This is when these first came out. I ordered the others and needed to go with a 8.5 my regular size. So I would say they run true to size maybe a little smaller but not enough Tri go to a 9. I wear a thicker sock so thinner sock the 8.5 perfect. As for the show it’s self very pleased while hiking and fishing. I stand on a trolling motor all day and these show give me the support and comfort to fish 8 hours a day. I wear the lighter gray less heat in warmer weather if active. If not even in the warmer weather the other colors are fine heat wise. The only issue are the laces. For some reason they won’t stay tied so you may have to buy different laces.

These are the 2 pair of Peakfreak shoes that I've purchased. They are comfortable and good all round walking shoes from trails to city walking. They lasted about 8 months before the soles wore out. The only minor complaint is that the shoelaces tend work loose. I usually replace them. Otherwise, I'll happily buy another pair.

    Don’t buy these

I just went on a 5 mile dune hike in these yesterday and I can honestly say, these are terrible! Most uncomfortable hiking I’ve done in years thanks to construction and quality of these.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is a fairly comfortable fitting shoe and it is nice to walk in with a few areas for improvement. I find the tongue lacks padding at the top and when I lace them up, the top ones bite into my foot. The tongue is cut back on the edges/ disconnected from main shoe upper an inch or two. This leaves a fair sized slit on both sides of the tongue where water can get into someone's shoe. It has a waterproof membrane so I'd expect it to be designed to keep water out a bit better. The mid sole is quite soft, offering cushioning as expected on a running shoe, not a hiker. The sole is quite grippy, but the lugs are not quite as deep as expected on a hiking shoe. Overall it is not a bad shoe, just lacking a few things to make it great.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe by far is the best waterproof shoe I have ever had! I don’t need to break them in, and they fit like a glove. Very true to size and don’t squeeze in the toe box. I have been running n the rain multiple times, and my feet stay dry. The shoes even breath well and don’t hold in moisture making my feet wet from sweat. I will definitely be buying these again for when the time comes.
