Cargo shorts: the Swiss Army knife of legwear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I slipped into these Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts expecting comfort. What I got was a full tactical experience. Within an hour, I’d accidentally packed my keys, phone, granola bar, and a small village's worth of trail mix into the many glorious pockets. I may never find my chapstick again—but I respect the challenge.
Breathable fabric? Yes. Like wearing a personal AC unit... if it only worked from the thighs down. The built-in belt makes me feel like I'm always ready to rappel off a cliff or at least wrangle a rogue grocery cart in the parking lot.
Minor critique: sizing runs like it's training for a marathon—smaller and tighter than expected. The website size recommendation takes this into account, so I ordered a size larger. The problem for me is the length is past my knees. But once you break them in, they’re like that quirky uncle you secretly admire: rugged, dependable, and always carrying snacks.
Would I wear them again? Absolutely. Would I wear anything else? Only if these shorts refuse to dry after my third river crossing.
