These pants are easily the best piece of gear I’ve ever owned from Columbia. I’ve used them hiking in hot and cool weather, in sun and in rain. They held up very well to scrambling over sharp rocks when climbing Mount St. Helens and the DWR did great during a rainy hike on Mount Rainier. I like how all pockets have zippers and the draw cords on the legs were useful during a warmer hike. I also really like the Spice color. These on sale are a great deal. Well done, Columbia! I’m 6’ tall and 190. I need to wear a belt with the size 34.

Needs deeper pockets. Pockets are so shallow that if not zipped up, anything in pockets will fall out. Everything else about these pants are great. Material is thin and stretchy. Perfect for hot days, but the shallow pockets really holds it back. Took 2 stars off because I believe storage is a vital feature that should never be overlooked in an active pant.
