Nice coat as long as you never wash it

I loved this coat so much. I bought it back in October for this winter. It was warm and light.
It got dirty, so I had to wash it. I follow the directions, I used a down detergent … the problem was with drying.
It took hours and hours on tumble dry and now smells like damp gross coat.
Also, in the tumble dry the draw string broke off.
It’s a nice coat if you never want to wash it.
I’ll probably have to get another coat next winter, which won’t be from Columbia

Gorgeous Safari colour l but runs large

I am in love with the Safari colour. It's a mute light green and just beautiful! I had it on for 5 min to fit and take pictures and it's really warm and had me sweating. I'm sure it will serve me well in the Canadian Albertan winters. It has cuffs with thumb holes that's great for extra warms as well as fleece lined pockets to keep your hands extra warm. The length is great and sits just under my hips. It also packs pretty compact for how puffy the jacket is. The hood is not fleece lined but fits well and has drawstrings to tighten for windy days.
The zipper unfortunately is just as flimzy as other reviews had mentioned. It's plastic and keeps getting stuck to the flap under it on the inside of the jacket. I tried multiple times and could not zip it up in one smooth movement. I figured out that if I press the inside flap inwards that the zipper zips up a little easier. I have doubts that it will last long and it's a big dezign flaw.
The sizing of this jacket is also way off as other reviews had mentioned. It runs very large. I bought a Columbia winter jacket 5 years ago in a small that's currently way too tight lol. I've been fitting many jackets in person over the last few weeks and a large had fit best. After reading reviews that this jacket runs large I decided to order a medium. I very well could have ordered a small and still have room to layer. It's huge! The arms are super long and looks extra puffy because of the length and the cuffs with thumb holes sits extremely loose. The thumb hole is very large. I could probably fit 3 thumbs through it haha. I'm 5.1 and weigh 163 pounds (74kg).
Am I keeping it? Yes. Simply because sending it back to swap for a small is too much hassle. I am disappointed though in the fit (there's nothing flattering about it, it's very boxy) and the quality of the zipper.
I am giving it 3 starts because of the zipper and the sizing.

I absolutely love this winter coat! Very warm up to -25C with good woolen layers. Very lightweight and comfortable fit, does not restrict movement. Looks very flattering too. True to size, while other xxl items may be tight this one fit me perfectly. I’m 165cm tall and 115kg weight for reference. Very happy with my purchase.

Faulty zipper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this coat! I got it a month ago and it’s been keeping me so warm. It has a nice weight to it without feeling too heavy or bulky. It runs a little large, which is perfect for layering over thick sweaters. I would 100% recommend this coat. Worth every penny!

Broken zipper after less then 2 months

I bought this jacket about 2 months ago. Love it. Fits great. Im 5ft 5.5 inches weigh 125, 130. Got a xs. The zipper just broke. So upset. You'd think after paying that much money it would not break. Great just great. Now what do I do. Nope no receipt

Not worth the money

Cozy and Effective!

I live in North Carolina - winter morning/evening dog walks are dark and often between 20-35 degrees, the lowest we've gotten is 15 degrees and this coat kept me very cozy. The hood is nice and big, and cinches perfectly for windy weather. Pockets are fleece-lined, insulated, and deep, effectively keeping my hands warm. And the material overall is so soft and flexbile, like wearing a down blanket. It's a little oversized but that's exactly what I wanted. I could not love this coat more!
