Warm and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this jacket! It’s super warm, comfortable, and fits well (I sized up for an oversized look). My only complaint is it doesn’t have pockets that are fleece lined to keep your hands warm, but it’s a small detail for an overall very nice jacket!

Lightweight but warm

Just purchased this coat and I love the warmth and stylish fit! Very roomy so sized down to medium and still have room to wear a sweater underneath (not that I will need it with the down)
The coat is very lightweight so you don’t feel like you are weighted down when you walk.
With the smooth outer material, you don’t look like an inflated blimp walking around outside.

Waterproof but very bulky

Waterproofing works well on this jacket and it is warm. However, the fit is HUGE. I am a size small 90% of the time, but the last Columbia small I ordered was really snug, so I sized up to a medium. The medium fits like an extra large. I could literally fit two of me inside. Not a bad coat, but order 1-2 sizes down.

Too wide and short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems like a very nice coat, but it was much shorter and wider than expected. I am 5’3 165 lbs and it barely covered my rear and it was so wide I had difficulty lifting my arms because the sleeves met the shoulders partway down my arm instead of at the joint. Due to that, I purchased another parka with a longer length in a medium and it is way too tight. I would love to see Columbia be more consistent with their sizing.

Zipper design is bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for someone and the style and color is just what she wanted. However, we returned this jacket because the 2-way zipper design is bad. It is very difficult to insert the zipper in just the right position so it can be zipped up. Even I had a hard time helping her with the zipper. I have a Columbia jacket with a 2-way zipper design for many years and have no difficulty with the zipper. The zipper for the Harmony Falls jacket is smaller and thinner, maybe that could be the problem?

Runs big

I have multiple Medium size Columbia winter jackets so I ordered this one Medium size too. What a mistake. It feels like X Large. The cut also doesn’t look as flattering as on the photos. I returned it.

Pockets?

I was about to purchase this until I saw the pockets are parallel & not slanted like another review mentioned. That’s not how your hands naturally enter pockets. Why would they make it like this when it’s cold out & you want to keep your hands in your pockets? Beautiful green shade. Shame.
